Sage 100 Advanced 2016.3 - anyone see instances where Sales Order Invoicing aren't captured in paperless? The bulk of them are captured but I'm missing some and I can see them in invoice history inquiry. A quick search of the KB doesn't uncover anything obvious.

Previewed them instead of hitting print ???

Maybe but I don't see them having security rights. i can see the invoice posted in history. Invoice History Printing doesn't work but I can going to Invoice History Inquiry and print from there. Very odd but I'm sure there is some specific chain of events that did not capture this invoice into paperless while others were captured.

Wayne, I'm having similar problems with a client. It seems to be a speed issue when printing a batch of invoices. One of their invoice forms is more complex than the standard Sage form, and it is timing out and cannot complete the printing to PDF. Some make it to PDF, some don't. If I activate the C/S ODBC driver for this user then the batch of invoices successfully prints all invoices to PDF.

Hmm. I'm using CS ODBC driver on everyone.

Hmm, well, that's all I have Wayne. By the way, at this client of mine the C/S ODBC driver service constantly fails and has to get stopped and restarted. Do you happen to know of any reason for this happening? I've searched the KB, googled, tapped as many resources as I know of and can't find a solution to this problem.

QuickPrint (print or preview) during data entry, without the paperless option turned on. Then the print flag is changed, so when the batch is printed, the previously quick printed invoices are skipped, by design.

^^ I am thinking that these folks may be previewing or printing multiple times then on the final print they are not selecting print invoices already printed. That's very possibly the issue.

@JaneScanlan - you can script a stop and start of the service and have the script run by the task scheduler on whatever cycle is sooner than the failures. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/8607594/batch-file-to-restart-a-service-windows

@PhilMcIntosh we have tried that, but it constantly fails. Would it be a problem to stop and restart that service every 5 minutes? What happens if someone is printing while the service gets stopped and restarted?

I suspect that would cause more harm than good. I wonder if it is possible to get a more recent version of the service direct from ProvideX?? Any errors show up in the event log, or does it just ""go dark""? If you disable AV does it keep running?

Thank you Phil, but from what I have been told by the client's IT guy, the service is never in a failed or stopped state - it still shows as running. It seems as if it gets ""clogged up"" and the only solution is to stop and restart the service, then Crystal report and form printing works for awhile, until someone alerts IT that their report or form just stops printing and a little circle just spins round and round. Super frustrating.

We've had issues with the Windows print spooler. Make sure that current print drivers are installed, and any enhanced features (like warnings about low ink) are disabled where possible.
