Sage 100 Adv upgrade (4.05 to 4.5). Upon trying to run the Pre-Migration, I get this message: ""The \\..\MAS90\MAS_XXX\GLXXX\ file folder cannot be accessed"". The full path shows in the message, and XXX represents the company code. This is only happening with 1 company; all the others work fine. I get this message whether I run the pre-migration against the copy of 4.05 that I have (on server2) or the live 4.05 system (on server1). And the path that appears in that message that I receive when running against the copy of 4.05 on server2, is actually the server1 path. ??? I did notice that this 1 company I'm having a problem with shows a unc path in Comp Maint in the live 4.05 system whereas all other company codes show a drive letter path. But upon trying to tinker with that Comp Maint data path, it appears those paths should actually in fact be UNC paths. ??? I did remove all the .lck files from the ..\MAS90\LOCK\XXX\ folder, but no help. I also took a look at the sy0cmp.soa file via DFDM, but didn't see anything meaningful. Not sure what else to check.

This isn't an issue of the account running the app/service being a local admin vs domain admin? Which in turn I think means the server can't see other \\ locations?

I had thought of that, too @WayneSchulz, but no. We just figured it out though. The Alternate Directory fields (13 and 14) in the sy_company file were populated. I removed those field values (from my copy of 4.05), and that resolved it. I had come across the sy0cmp file and didn't even think of sy_company for some reason.

Been so long that I have dealt with alternate locations that I forget to think about them.....
