Sage 100

Sage 100 Adv 2015 PU1. Changes to SO ship-to address not being saved. Anyone experience this? Pull up an order, go to Address tab, change part or all of the ship-to, click lines tab, go back to address tab, changes gone. Tried clicking Accept before changing tabs, same thing. Searched the KB, nothing came up. TIA

Do they have Avalara?

Thanks Shannon. Yes, they do. I did a quick search in the Avalara KB and found 1 article. It says this can be caused by 2 users being in the same record at the same time. This is not the case here and Sage 100 does not allow 2 people to be in the same SO at the same time anyway.

I can recall something similar but at this other client it wasn't the case that 2 users were in. Below are all of the things Sage suggested (for another client) and then Alnoor mentioned something about a .dll file with Avalara... 1.You can uninstall Sage 100, log in as Administrator, make sure UAC is off, and reinstall the workstation to make sure there are no issues with the install 2.Test by eliminating 3rd party mods. If we can't do it in your environment, they suggested sending them a copy of the data that they can test with or creating a test environment internally to test with 3.Rule out custom office modifications 4.Rule out program/data/user issue (diagnostics on the workstation, recreating the users profile, watching the user enter the data into the screens and document the steps, etc)

Thanks again Shannon. Unfortunetly, none of these apply. It's happenning to everyone so it's not a user or workstation issue. I just logged remotely to the Sage server (2012 R2 VM) as administrator and I get the same there. I guess I'll call Avalara on Monday. Thanks for pointing me to the right direction.

Still no resolution to this. Customer shipped 4 orders to the wrong address today because changes to shipping address are not being saved. Very sporadic and hard to duplicate. I spent 2 hours on the phone being tossed between Sage and Avalara.

Given this happens on existing orders only here's an odd question. After they make changes do they immediately click Accept from the Address tab or do they visit the Totals tab before accepting? If the former consider doing the latter (most AvaTax code runs when Totals is clicked)

Alnoor, we tried it every which way. Both Sage and Avalara logged on and tried everything. One weird thing, it usually happens on the second order you open. So if you close Sage and go back in, the first order works fine. You open another and it start losing the changes in ship to. One other note, when you change the ship to zip code, the city and state do not update like they normally would. It's almost like the whole code under ship to is messed up.

There was an issue with extended descriptions not being saved that was corrected with PU2. I wonder if you installed PU 2 that would resolve it?

John, I installed PU2 and reinstalled Avalara as well. That actually made it worse. Avalara called today and said they are able to replicate ""almost"" the same thing on their end. ""Almost"" becuase it acts differently every time and hard to duplicate, yet sometimes it works as intended.

Did this ever get resolved? Have a customer who just upgraded to 2015 (checking on product update) who is experiencing the same issue. They change the ship-to address but it gets reset. They are a garage door company and are sending guys to the wrong address.

@ThereseLogeais Yes, DSD writes the code for Avalara. I worked with the DSD programmer (Joe) and he found an issue with the Ship-to address fields when used with Avalara. Avalara issued an update.You can download it from their site

How big is the file? Can you post it here. Perhaps others can use it also...

Jeff, Can't upload it here either. Won't let me. It's an exe. Probably best to get it from Avalara. They might have an updated one anyway
