    Sage 100 4.5: Can't change product type from kit (grayed out). Not sure if this was ever possible. KB talks about receiving a message if you try to change and have BOM. We're not getting a message it's just grayed out.

    Do they have BOM? And is it setup as a kit in BOM?

    Are you trying to change it is BOM or IM maintenance?

    On my ABC company I'm not integrated to BOM - the product type is grayed out. Am wondering if it has to do with the item having open orders

    That was it - deleting the sales kit within Inventory allowed me to change the product type within Inventory Maintenance
