  • 1.  Sage 100 2023 Slowness

    I'm doing an upgrade on the same server, but moving from 2018 Advance to 2022 Premium. I'm having extreme slowness when I run Sage 2022 workstation. It takes 1-2 minutes to launch after I input login information. Launching tasks, takes about 1 minute for the panels to display.  If I run Sage in MAS90 mode, I do not get the same slowness.

    I've already gone through the check list of items of what to check for slowness. Sage server printers, DEP, Sage Product Enhancement, permissions, antivirus, accounts running Sage and SQL services etc. We've already reviewed the server resources and confirmed everything looks good. 

    Because I can run Sage in MAS90 style on the workstation and get faster response times, what would that indicate is slowing the system down?

    is Hyper-V hypervisor running?  if so, there are known issues.  Check to see if they have a Broadcom NIC.  Try running the host as an app instead of a service may help.

    Yes, they are running Hyper V and have Broadcom NIC. We've already turned off the feature called "toe". Is there anything else we should be aware of?

    Also running as a app service did not increase speed.

    There are a few possible settings changes and I don't know what they are, however, you might check on Sage City, and/or with @Alnoor Cassim.

    Update

    Found that client had turned on the ODBC Tracing. This did not effect Advance, but cause a significant slow down for Premium.

    Is SQL on the same Windows server as the Sage 100 application server?  If not, was ODBC tracing enabled on both servers?  Was ODBC tracing enabled on the workstations?

    SQL and Sage are on two separate servers. The ODBC trace was on the Sage Application Server only.
