We used "net start" command for several services which had endearing qualities in the hosted environment. Another option could be to create a new service account to run the service. The old one may have gotten corrupted.

Batch file with a "net start..." command, scheduled to run every hour...?

I did find some event viewer logs through it is very difficult to interpret the various error codes - of which there are a few and only one seems to related to Sage.
What throws off the trail is I can manually start the service and there's no errors or any issues. The service just doesn't seem to be able to restart unless someone is logged in at that same time.
The IT folks had this message which I'm sure is buried in one of Window's event logs somewhere:
Looked through logs on DC01, found that when server was rebooted around 1:19pm the following error was given for why the Sage service did not auto start: "The Sage 100 Advanced 2022 (9710) service failed to start due to the following error:
The account name is invalid or does not exist, or the password is invalid for the account name specified."
To rule out some type of issue like the assigned Windows account being unable to run a service I swapped them over to using the default system account for the service. This seems to have no effect in that the service still doesn't auto start on reboot and I can still start the service manually with no errors displayed to the UI. Then people can go into Sage.

I'd look in the Windows event viewer for errors.
