Attempting to upgrade Sage 2018 Premium to Sage 2021 Premium. Have new Sage application server and new SQL instance. Can't install PU 2 because data will not migrate due to a bug - Sage KB 111959. Now when migration without PU2 getting the Prepare Failed sy_rolesecurity because client once owned and has uninstalled IM, SO, PO. The issue is that SY_rolesecurity references modules not in SY_Tasks - Sage KB 8008977789 that was issue fixed with PU2. I know I can delete and recreate the roles (24 of them with many users and 160+ companies). Could also use SQL select statements to select the old role lines for MR, RA, IM, SO, PO and delete them.
I called Sage and the tech is going to ask them today in their meeting what is the status of the Premium migration error with PU1 and/or PU2.
Anyone know how to fix this error I'm getting now after the Prepare Failed sy_rolesecurity? When trying to run the client I get 'The sy_registration program is an invalid version". Sage KB 99469 referencing this error says the fix is to 'uninstall and re-migrate' which puts me back where I started.
Any other ideas?
