  • 1.  Sage 100 2018 Product update 2 Payroll 2.19.2 - Additional Tax not working on Ohio School Disctrict Taxes

    Needs some help, have a client who just picked up an Ohio location. We are having issues with not being able to withhold additional income tax on any school district taxes for the Ohio. Adding additional amounts work fine for federal, state and village taxes but the school taxes do not work. It lets you setup the additional withholding on the employee but it does withhold the amount when paying the employee.

    Has anyone seen this before?

    Any info is appreciated!

    Our Sage team has run into issues with "other" local taxes as well.  I'll get the exact detail but I know we have spoken to Sage and are asking for a hot fix.  Let me get the detail and maybe if others are reporting the issue we can get something done.

    I checked with our team and the following is the other Local issue we have encountered.  It's a BIG issue for us in KY.

    Initially the conversion program did not even provide for a place to map the "Other Local" calculated data, so none of that data was not even coming over.  Result = clients had to manually add the information for Aatrix w2 processing and do lots of manual calculations to ensure reconciled totals were correct.

     The next iteration, Sage provided for a mapping of "Other Local" calculated data in the conversion program, but it still does not show up properly in history screens or quarterly reports and Aatrix reporting.

    Thanks for your input! I also talked to Sage and they confirmed this is an issue on their end as well. However, they seemed to not have a case into engineering for this issue. They must be treating each locality issue as a different case to fix, this would be good to know if you run into this in other States.

    I checked and we have not completed any PR upgrades with "Other" local taxes.  The two that are in progress are on hold until Sage provides a fix.  Our other upgrades did not have other locals.
