    Need some BIE views help!

    Have a client running Sage 100 2018 Advanced. They are having issues when generating BIE views using the History Orders View under Sales Order Module. This view works when I am loading the initial records (1,000). I am trying to load all of the history orders so I changed the filtering to include 20,000 rows, when I do this the view never completes (waited hours) 

    The goal of my client is to display the current years history order views. In order to this (it appears from my testing) Sage is loading the oldest records first, so in order to get the newest history records it has to go through all 18,000 + records first in order to do so. This is where the issue of loading all the records is coming into play. 

    Below are some items of note...
    1. I can get this to work if I run this after hours when no users are logged into Sage.
    2. During the day this does not work on the Sage server or any workstation.
    2. I am able to successfully load 20,000 records when using the Item Transactions View just fine during the day. This loads very quickly.
    3. This has been working until a 2 months ago. There has not been a sudden influx of data. As of 01/01/2019 there were still roughly 17,000 history orders.

    Looks like its possibly an issue with the network given it works after hours when no users are logged in, just curious if anyone has seen this before.

    Are you using the Standard View?  Is it possible that a user has added a field that has caused this difference?

    Thanks for your response. Getting this problem when using standard and the classic view in Sage. There are some UDF's on the Sales Order tables, is that what you are referring too when you say maybe a user has "added a field"?

    Most welcome Preston!  Well, a user could have saved over the Standard view; has been done before :)  The UDF's are one possibility of an added field, yet my thoughts were more on a calculated field.  Making an assumption that they don't have millionS of Sales Order records (which could happen) that are trying to be read, was thinking that there is some command running that simply can't finish; whether the restriction is on memory or space allowed, or there are just so many records that have to [repeated] be gone through.  In BIE custom calculation fields can be created.  This can be done in the Column Settings screen.  If the calculation is complex, it could be using all of the allowed resources.
