Sage 100 2017 Standard on Citrix server. first pe

    Sage 100 2017 Standard on Citrix server. first person going into Sage 100 is OK. all subsequent users get desktop has already started and program doesn't start. Any ideas? TIA

    I'm assuming you've already copied down to the Citrix client the multi-user activate.pvx file.

    Check to see what product update they are on and install the latest. According to what Sage told me today, they fixed this in one of the product updates. I can't confirm if thats true or not though. Thats just what they said.

    Bill this is standard so no activate.pvx on client side. We're on SU2 and the system was working well until yesterday when thing started going wrong. Sage article mentions Restore the SY_SagePEPTask.m4t system. I could also try reinstalling the client. thanks for your replies!

    Have you copied the Activate.PVX file from the Sage Server to the Citrix Server?

    thanks Lew. This is Sage 100 Standard so there is no Activate. pvx on the Citrix Server? Looks like it started to work OK again. There are several people in without an error message so it looks like the issue is intermittent. I did find one hung pvxwin32 task which we terminated. not sure is that was the issue. Thanks all! I appreciate the help at this time of evening!

    This issue is still happening. Try to start Sage, nothing happens and Pvxwin32 is hung.

    Try logging into Sage as administrator and shut the PEP off. That use to be an issue, perhaps it still is.

    Thanks Jeff. I checked PEP and it's off. Had their IT turn off DEP. We'll see what happens today.

    I had an issue with Webroot doing similar.

    Thanks Larry, I had their IT check the exclusions and make sure exclusions were right last night. I'll check which antivirus they're using.

    They're using symantec Endpoint protection. This system is a Server 2008 R2 citrix server with a Server 2016 application server.

    System working OK today. Last night 1. IT fixed anti-virus exclusions 2. IT Turned of DEP 3. I renamed sy_console and workstation 4. reinstalled workstation client. thanks all for your help.
