  • 1.  Sage 100 2017 ACH + TLS 1.2 ?

    Dear List,
?????? We have a heavily customized customer on Sage 100 2017 that doesn't want to upgrade now, but wants to use ACH.
Does the TLS 1.2 requirement prevent a Sage 100 2017 customer from using ACH?

Do you mean ACH for paying vendors electronically?  Regardless though, the generation of an ach file in Sage 100 shouldn't have anything to do with TLS as far as I know.

I think there are two ways to perform ACH

    1. What Brett is discussing - Sage 100 creates an ACH file, and it's up to the customer to upload it to their bank
    2. As an ACH export into a payment processor such as Paya (I have no customers that do it this way) which presumably requires TLS 1.2 since all other payment connections require TLS 1.2

    Brett, Wayne,
They will check with the banks involved to see what is required for transmission.
People have to upgrade systems eventually.
    Thanks

If their bank is like most, it is just an upload to the banks secure website.
