Sage 100 2014 - using Sage 100 along with Scanforce (recent). TL;DR: Is there any way to change the box # on the main shipping screen. The field is grayed out and it seems you are forced to go into the ""Item Packaging"" to make changes. Question from an end user - is there a way to change the box on the shipping data entry screen that the line is shipped in without having to manually click the ""Item Packaging"" icon? (Note: Someone else has already picked this order and assigned it all into one box , now the packer is looking at how many box #s are needed and which line will go into which box). Ideally, they would like to be able to go right on the main shipping data entry and change box numbers without having to spend time on another click and navigating ""Item Packaging"". The problem is the box # is grayed out and apparently, you must use the Item Packaging icon to make changes. End user has been advised to discuss with Scanforce who has advised that they can scan into the proper box at the time that the order ships. Apparently, the business reason (as stated by the EU) that this ""doesn't work"" is they have separate pickers and packers. The packers want to have a faster way to update the box location of each line without clicking multiple times. Certainly, this has been well explored by other larger organizations. What am I missing?

I'm not sure if this fits with your clients processes and you may already know about this, but I think ScanForce has a Pick/Pack/Ship option. Essentially the pickers go through and use handhelds to pick items, that scan records items as ""picked"" but it does not put them into the shipping data entry screen. Then the Packer/Shipper scans the items a second time with handheld (or wedge scanner connected to a desktop) as he/she puts them in the boxes; this scan enters the items into shipping data entry package by package.

Going with what you are describing Wayne - if the customer order 10 and 7 went into box 1 and 3 goes into box 2 - this would not be feasibly - why not just click the package button and correct?

Good points on both of the above. I think that since the user has Scanforce they should be looking at pick/pack/ship.
