Sage 100 2014 PU5 - on SO quantity incorrect for a particular item (maybe more). Rebuild sorts did not fix (according to customer). Brief search of Open SO by Item did not uncover any items. Valuation for this item is Average Cost / Product Type Finished Good. I'm going to login tonight when hopefully everyone is out of the system and attempt to rebuild sort files. Does anyone else have any experience with ON SO being inaccurate, rebuild sorts not appearing to fix it. And if so, how'd you resolve. Naturally the customer suspects that other items ""might be affected"". How dare the customer expect that an accounting system targeting the wholesale distribution industry be accurate with inventory....

DFDM - IM_ItemWarehouse.M4T shows 1,800 in shipping and 1,800 on SO -- not sure if this is what's causing the issue

If the customer rebuilt the sorts, they may not have been rebuilt correctly. They may have not answered ""Yes"" to ""Do you want to recalculate open sales order quantities in the Inventory masterfile also?"".

Review of SO_SalesOrderDetail shows no entries for the item in question - current theory is improper running of rebuild sort files

Possibly a bad unposted invoice or credit in SO_InvoiceHeader / SO_InvoiceDetail, as invoices and credits not from Sales Orders get put into ""on-so"" as well. Quite confusing to customers at times..... ??

If it's not an actual bug, it almost sounds like a UOM issue, or a UOM precision issue.
