Calling S100 Premium / SQL gurus (Alnoor are you out there?),
Client is upgrading from v16 ADV to v19 Premium / SQL. Client server has SQL installed on C:\ as per normal. Server has D:\ larger storage where we will install S100 Premium. Is it possible / advisable if possible to move the MAS_XXX and MAS_SYSTEM SQL databases to an alternate directory on the server D:\ instead of the default C:\?

If we did move the S100 databases would re-migrating data for a final upgrade after user testing be problematic or would it just know the new location somehow?

I know an SQL database can be moved on SQL side but will that work with S100 GUI, this is like alternate directory maintenance feature in Std./Adv but for Premium type of question. Anyone done this?
    Thanks for your input!

Sage 100 does not care where the SQL data files are stored.  It is best to set the default data directory to the correct drive during the SQL install.
Beware this issue, which I ran into recently: link to Sage City thread.
