Running any Crystal Report on the server maxes out the CPU and other users are not able to work in Sage 100.  How can this be fixed?

I've seen this on a customer system (VM with one core).  I tried to get their IT to do something about it, but that went nowhere.
Normally I'd see individual processes capped at 100% of a core (so at 25% on a VM with 4-cores).

@Kevin Moyes  Sage and Crystal will take advantage of multiple cores?  Yes, this company is on a VM not sure if it is vm ware or hyper-v.

Alnoor can probably answer that better than I can, but it is my understanding that each process is limited to a single core... so one task shouldn't lock up the whole server if there are multi-cores on the machine.

I think this must be a one core VM, because the typical view says 25% when Crystal has gone off the rails.

@Phil McIntosh. It definitely is a one core vm. If they add another core will Sage and/or Crystal be able to take advantage of it and split the work between the cores?

Crystal will still take 100% of one core, but other processes should get assigned to the other core
