If they don't walk back the quarterly requirement, there is going to be a mas (pun intended) exodus. I wonder why my large insider on this info seemed pissed since they aren't likely to be affected as I'm sure they do more than 1 net new per quarter. Sure doesn't give you much incentive to pick up, say Abra, because picking up Abra, and doing 1 unit per quarter are way different things. Do they think just letting var's rollup is going to make their lives and sales better? All they do is reduce their order entry desk workload by maybe 1 FTE. What other value?

@PeterWolf For guys like you this could be good. Imagine if you could do a SageCRM DSD like deal. Var's would subscribe through you, you take say 10 to 20% for the admin and a fair profit and everybody is assured their quarterly goal. /rant on/ Of course as political socialist dictator, you get to decide what is fair LOL /rant off/

I'm not sure @MarkChinsky - I don't think any of my sales would be considered Net New since they are typically add-ons to existing MAS or Accpac customers.

But I believe he said for the product line so if it's a NEW CRM sale to an existing ERP customer, shouldn't that count??

If this is such a great deal and customers and prospects are going to love this - then there should be no need for the 1 per Qtr requirement. A 5 user small business edition bought out right is a better deal than going on the subscription. It is almost like buying MAS all over again every year.
