  • 1.  Revised AR Aging for Customer # Expansion

    Posted 06-24-2019 14:39
As is typical, the customer didn't believe me when I said that when they expanded their customer number from 7 to 30 that they'd have some changes in formatting.

Now they'd like to know whether they can move their customer number back to its former position on the AR aging report.

Has anyone done this and have a copy to share?

I believe what's happening is that the customer number field drops down a line on the aging when the field is expanded.

Perhaps it's as simple as dragging and dropping the customer number. It sounds like the customer has wrestled with this for a while so before I touch it ( and own it at no money down ) I would prefer to see whether there's a solution that's quick which someone has already designed.

Actually, what appears to be happening is once the number expands it pushes the customer name to the second line.

It is definitely formattable in Crystal reports   there are  multiple lines ones  some with Expanded customer = Yes and some with the expanded customer number =   No

Thanks, turns out this was relatively straightforward provided your customer number hasn't greatly expanded to the point that it will overwrite the customer name in the original location.

I had them remove the second CustomerName field and comment out the conditional suppress for the original ( first ) Customer Name and this seemed to work fine.
