  • 1.  Reverse a payroll v2.26 run of direct deposites

    I have a client who called today in Sage 100 payroll version 2.26. They had two direct deposits that were in a single payroll run, and they wanted to reverse the whole run. I do see how to reverse a run of payroll checks documented (see the link below). However, we were not able to get to anything that said "reverse the entire run". Instead, we had to go through the individual direct deposits and click on the reversal there, which did work.

    I understand Sage won't manage the reversal with the bank of the DD / ACH. The client is ok with that. What I wasn't able to do is have Sage automatically reverse both of the DD , instead I had to do them individually.
     
    Does anybody know: does Sage not support reversing an entire run when it's made up of only direct deposits, or is there something else I overlooked? I think they have all the correct security permissions, because they could reverse out one by one their direct deposits. Interested if anyone has run into this?

    Just created a run with one DD and one employee split check/DD.  Reversed both. Showed it in the Reverse Check Run screen and reversed them both

    Presumably you got to this screen by clicking a reversal button on the main header screen for check/DD printing? We just don't see that button though the reversal is available for individual payroll checks.

    Ah, correct.  I wasn't getting out of your posting that you weren't seeing this. New Security Option in Payroll.
