    Hello Board 

    I am just kidding. I appreciate the time everyone gave me both in the surveys and meetings.  I hope you all are very excited to come to the Retreat this week in beautiful Palm Springs. 

    I love Roger Martin. Here is a great little video that discusses the differences between planning and strategizing. I think it will come into play during the retreat. When you have time please watch and feel free to comment.

    Great video, but I am always curious about why when there are two things, people often make it either-or.  Why can't you work on a strategy and then concoct a plan to put that strategy into action.  I agree you do not control the actions of others, but you can have contingency plans based upon your desired outcome, and alternative reactions by the market.

    Maybe he is saying to stay focused on your plan, don't prepare to fail (by having a backup plan), keep tweaking your plan to hone in on the goal/mission.
