I have a client who is highly security conscious..

They want to be able to give a person the ability to access user and role maintenance but not be able to change anything to do with payroll, but be able to change anything else.

Pretty much told him that no there is not a way to do that without a custom mod, but they are insistent.

Is anyone aware of any mods to this effect?

They have Knowledgesync, so I can set up alerts to let them know if anything has been changed, but they want to totally block access to anything payroll related.

Never mind.   Forgot about security in Department Maintenance of payroll.   Even if they can get into payroll if they don't have access to the department they can't see anything.

Client happy now.

If you want to go one step further (for Standard and Advanced) you can even move the PR data files to a separate path (using Company Maintenance), which is in a separate folder / share (where Windows security to the files blocks unauthorized access, not even using DFDM, regardless of Role permissions).
