Report settings disappear. On client system, you can create report settings but are unable to select them using the lookup. The settings are viewable in DFDM. And you can make one of them the default and it works. You just cannot select anything but STANDARD in the lookup. This happens on multiple reports. Could not find this on the knowledgebase.

I had this happen not to long ago with 100 Advanced version 4.5. We ended up having to replace the providex.dcl, dde, ddf, kdf, prm files from backup or a clean installation.

*the files were from a backup, I'm not sure if the clean installation would do the right thing.

That is very interesting. We had another error that was caused by a corrupt ddx file and I had to reinstall the whole thing to fix that. It worked, but now this? Weird.

It may be an issue with the ALE files. I encountered a similar issue in a 4.5 installation about a year ago. Users were unable to view ship to codes when using the ALE. Issue was resolved by renaming the ALE files and reinstalling the modules. You can also try restoring the ALE files from the last known good backup prior to the occurrence of the issue. ALE files are in the SOA folder. They are SY1Q01, SY1Q02, SY1Q03, SY1Q04, and SY1QDD.

Thanks to everyone who posted suggestions, although tried them all without success. I did eventually correct the problem by manually re-initializing the SY_ReportSetting.M4T file. The client lost their existing report settings, but now can save new ones and see them on the lookup. Wanted to share this for future reference.

In an upgrade from 4.30 to Sage 100 2013, I encountered a similar problem that Ship to Codes did not show in the ALE window. Solution was to delete the customized default ALE the user has created. The Standard one then worked.
