  • 1.  Report preview closes immediately

    Just upgraded a client from v2016 Standard to v2023 Advanced - 64bit.  On one workstation when previewing ANYTHING, the preview pops up and then closes instantly.  Sage cannot figure it out, their IT person cannot figure it out.  I have removed and reinstalled Sage 100 with no change.  As a work around, the user can print to pdf and open that, but I would like to know if anyone has any ideas on this.

    Screen resolution issue? Also, maybe View, Application scaling set to something other than Standard.

    Printers and Scanners - Is "Let Windows Manage My Default Printer" enabled?  

    Any other printers that are offline?

    Sounds like it shouldn't matter, but what is the default application to open .PDFs?

    I also like Doug's response regarding Screen/Display Resolution as well as the Scale and layout (Change size of text, apps and other items) and the Application Scaling within Sage itself.  

    You may also want to check Internet Options and put the MAS90 folder in as a trusted site as well as the Crystal Reports application. Maybe either turn off DEP settings and/or turn it on for essential applications only.

    Oh, one other thing I've been noticing at least with older versions upgrading to v2022, I've been having to rename the Documents\Sage 100 folder on the workstations (and maybe server) for whatever reason. Relaunch Sage to recreate the folder. Maybe that will work as well.

    Seems like something might be crashing... Did you check the Windows Event Viewer for errors?
