Client needs an Standard Operating Procedure for repair items. They have the BM module.
New machine goes out into the field. Has operational issues early on. Decision is made to swap out machines. Machine is returned to factory. QC inspects it, issues a repair order. Machine is repaired and returned to stock as NEW. BM will not allow an item to be used in the bill that is the parent as well.
How do others handle this situation?
They have an SOP for used equipment. Item is returned and refurbished under a different finished item. I am thinking that will be the case here unless others do it differently.
Critical to keep the process simple.
