Renewal time for ask90minds domain. If we're going to drop the service -- which is in itself $40/mo -- the new few months is the time to do it. It's hard to say what value we get from this as most of the people seem to be do-it-yourselfers with very little inclination to hire anyone. The site itself is drawing about 20 unique visitors a day. That's a fairly low number and I can't rule out that there are 90 Minds members in there as well which means the post count is potentially inflated with respect to our true target audience. For the $40/mo we could move Ask90Minds to a hosted site -- or maybe even point it to Google Plus for free. Looking for feedback on this.

I'm not up on how ask90minds is set up. It's some sort of service that we pay $40 per month for? Monving to to a hosted site would negate that fee would it? Unless we set up some other service (like Sage CRM portal to accept questions)?

I would rather have us just use our website.

One reason we have Ask90Minds is that it's easy for others to ask questions. I do hear you though -- I'm not particularly thrilled that this seems to be mostly a way for people to ask free questions and that there is not a really good way for us to customize the site. Do we care if we were to lose the content if we cancel?

Another thought: Could we use Ask90Minds to gather public second opinions for clients on various things where we could ask in the public Ask90Minds area then mail the client a link to follow the group comments?

I think most of the content is duplicated here on Socialcast. It seems the only thing Ask90Minds was doing was providing some SEO fodder. If we did something like that on the blog, which is what I think you are suggesting Wayne, at least the SEO would be benefiting 90minds.com instead of a different URL.
