Update: Sorry I posted the wrong times in the title and cannot change them -- should be 11 am PT and
2pm ETI think the only open question is whether there will be a patch for customers on 2020.
The Oct 1 deadline is going to creep up on us. Don’t forget that any third party enhancements have to be upgraded as well.
Some of these third-parties are pretty simple to update.
Others will require an appointment.
Make sure you plan in advance for upgrades requiring third-party assistance.
I’m sure Sage can clarify - however I don’t believe their professional/expert services are offered for customers with enhancements.
Don’t be caught short on this issue! Start informing customers now about their options.
P.S. - I’d suggest any upgrade paid for after the first week in September is priced at a premium.
PPS - There has been at least one good message thread on SMTP2GO as an alternative email server that doesn’t require OAuth. My experience is many customers balk at going to outside servers however I am an outlier/crazy. Just don’t assume your customer will automatically be ok with it.
