There are several issues which you may not have considered in choosing to wait for the last minute on this. I'm going to lay them out then I'll shut the **** up.
1. Socialcast may materially raise rates. I do no think we can assume that they are the same organization as when we joined. The last webcast I sat in on was geared to 10,000+ seat deals. VMWARE is going through re-org. If Socialcast pulls the plus or raises rates - depending upon how long we play with ourselves before sending renewals - we may be suddenly pushed to find another place to gather online.
2. We have no idea how many new members will renew. My guess is probably less than 50%.
3. We have no idea how much followup it will take to collect this money. Ever try collecting money from a VAR (Tip: Most are cash poor, have a sense of entitlement that screams ""why do I have to pay"" and they pay slower than your typical customer).
4. We have no idea how many followup questions people will have - which will possibly prolong the renewal process.
5. And lastly, until we know how many licenses we need we realistically cannot address the first issue above.
