Remember that our renewal for Socialcast is up in September - in order for us to know how many members will be paying for a second year we probably need to bill at least two months in advance to account for vacations.

There are several issues which you may not have considered in choosing to wait for the last minute on this. I'm going to lay them out then I'll shut the **** up. 1. Socialcast may materially raise rates. I do no think we can assume that they are the same organization as when we joined. The last webcast I sat in on was geared to 10,000+ seat deals. VMWARE is going through re-org. If Socialcast pulls the plus or raises rates - depending upon how long we play with ourselves before sending renewals - we may be suddenly pushed to find another place to gather online. 2. We have no idea how many new members will renew. My guess is probably less than 50%. 3. We have no idea how much followup it will take to collect this money. Ever try collecting money from a VAR (Tip: Most are cash poor, have a sense of entitlement that screams ""why do I have to pay"" and they pay slower than your typical customer). 4. We have no idea how many followup questions people will have - which will possibly prolong the renewal process. 5. And lastly, until we know how many licenses we need we realistically cannot address the first issue above.

I agree with Wayne. Can we send renewal notices soon?

Is the renewal in Sept? I think the plan was to send renewals in early August.

We were going to stagger the renewal - 90 Minds full membership is going first with 9/30 renew by date and the technical group having a 10/31 renew by date. As Robert stated, the 90 Minds full membership invoices will start going out later this week. Once I've cycled through full membership, I'll start working on the Technical group. Prior to sending out the invoices to any of the two groups, I will post a notice on one of the forums for all to read.
