What is the general concensus of this group for moving/relinking the Paperless Office Documents.  Use the Viewer and Move them or Use the Relink Utility after copy/paste into new location.  
My customer has a very high volume of documents, all in separate folders by either company or module.  Started using the Relink (which is what I generally use) and many are showing up Red with their previous path, so not sure if it's a server no longer in business or no permissions to it or what the problem is at this point.
I just received an error after selecting 3800 documents and the resolution is to select less than 1000 at a time.  I'll be done next May at this rate.
Any other options for this?

No preference UNLESS it's 2018 or higher.  The limit doesn't appear to apply any more and the speed seems better (using the relink).  Or I'm just doing it on clients who have whiz bang servers...

Copy the files manually, then use the 90-Minds utility!  It is a text search and replace, so if everything is under the same parent share, you should only have to run it once (per company code).

WAY back in the day, I physically relocated them via Explorer then ran the Sage utility.  Way faster.  Since then, I have been a great fan of the 90M utility  A huge SHOUT OUT to Jim Woodhead and Marcos Deluna for providing them to the membership!!!!! ​

In certain instances, if the server name has changed for example, we would create a CNAME of the old server in DNS, and make sure that the paperless office path is within the same structure right under the paperless share, then change the paperless options to point to the new server for a "this point forward" path to paperless documents. 

This would keep the access available to all existing documents, and you don't need to do any relinking. 

P.s if you adopt this method, there are 2 registry entries you need to change to allow a CNAME to be browse-able via SMB.

I've always tried to put the paperless documents into a more generic location - for example, never put them inside of \MAS90 which makes it more critical to get them moved before someone deletes an older Sage folder.

The utility is a great time saver and I continue to advocate that as a group we could collectively kick in $100 ea/year if we are users to whoever maintains the code/documentation. It's one of the most valuable tools I use during an upgrade.
