The multi-part registers are prepared by creating a PDF, then subsequently creating .CAT files and merging them into the main PDF. Reference:

HI All, This issue is baffling. Here are some notes as well as steps we have tried and the issue persists.
- The issue started about 2 months ago. No change in Sage. The users had gotten new workstations about 8 months ago.
- Workstations are not joined to the domain. Has always been this way.
- Uninstalled AV
- Windows version on one is 24H2 and another has 23H2. Both have the same issue
- Removed all printers other than local printer (Brother)
- Ran in MAS90 Mode
- Uninstalled Sage and all prerequisites & reinstalled (seemed to help some)
- Tried C/S ODBC
After the uninstall & reinstall forms and reports do print more quickly. The issue now is with register updates. If the register is previewed, it comes up instantly. If it is printed (to any printer) the register processing takes a couple of minutes at least. The test I was mostly working with was an AP Invoice batch with one entry. The generation of the recap be division was the part that took the most time. On thing I noticed is that if it is previewed, the register and recap come up separately (but still very fast) .

@Kevin Moyes I had her preview and she said it was faster. I am going to try reinstalling the PDF converter to see if that helps. The "problem" is that they have a couple of Xerox MFP that have really wonky drivers (have had issues with them before) so it may be related to those printers which they said they are not getting rid of.. I'll let you know the results. @Wayne Schulz Sounds like something that the DEP fix that Alnoor posted might fix the issue..

I have a Sage 100 2024 with 64-bit having a somewhat similar complaint. The issue appears to be that when their module registers are posting. They say that it appears to freeze. In some cases they end the task and go back in and can update. We've been looking at similar possible causes. So far as I know they don't get an error message. The only thing that doesn't seem the same is this customer doesn't complain about slow speed but says that the system has "Frozen". Perhaps if they waited 10-15 minutes they'd find that it completed?
