  • 1.  Red Federal 1099 forms no longer needed

    Discovered today that the Red Federal 1099 forms (Misc, NEC and 1096) are no longer needed. Aatrix prints them all on white paper like the W2's have been for the last few years. 

    Did I miss an announcement? Anyone else realize this?

    I wasn't aware of that.  We stopped printing forms with users years ago.  If we assist, we require full service eFiling.  It's the way to go!

    It took some digging on the Aatrix site, but this is where they posted that their 1099 and 1096 forms have been approved by the IRS to print on plain paper.

    I agree with @Mary Jo Krueger - If they want me to help, they must efile via Aatrix.  Just so darn convenient.  All it takes is to forget to file with IRS one year and then find out three years later and be forced to talk your way out of a $5K late filing penalty!  Never again!
