Record copy on Aatrix 1099 printed forms

  • 1.  Record copy on Aatrix 1099 printed forms

    I have a customer just printing her 1099's today and she does not want to efile through Aatrix but when she prints them, they all say Record Copy. What am I missing? Efiling is not selected, BTS. #Urgent​

    Is she using the Print Final button? I think there is also a toolbar at the top, maybe try printing from there?

    Yes, it was using Print Final.

    When she finishes with the Grid, is she selecting "Other Options" for printing/filing (at the bottom of the screen rather than selecting the "Complete Option" at the top of the screen)?

     

    She should be able to use that "Other Option" section and print by checking the print boxes and unchecking the two "efile" option boxes in that section.

    This may not be what you're asking. I seem to recall that there was one form that we had to fake out to get it to print the real copy on store bought forms - I think we needed 2 up instead of 4.  This may not be the actual forms involved, but I think we created a federal copy A by printing the state W2 onto our federal W2 pre-printed forms.

    Oh Good!  Because I KNOW it works without the "Record Copy" – I've printed hundreds of W-2/ACA and 1099's for our clients this past month.

    Just a note for everyone who might be looking for additional income – I'm amazed at the number of clients who are perfectly capable of using Aatrix, but just don't want to do it.  I filed 13 different forms this past month just for one client alone – who has multiple companies that included W-2/ACA and 1099 forms.  It provides peace of mind for the clients, and we're covered because we have them sign a disclaimer that says we're not responsible for the data but just for the printing and filing.  And we give them options to print the forms, or have Aatrix print and mail them.  And I always to test prints – and the test prints are done via pdf that I can TeamViewer to the clients and not have SSN's compromised.  We have a mix of clients – some want to hand out their ACA and W-2 forms to their employees, and others want Aatrix to do it.  We've been providing this service for as long as I can remember, and the clients see it as a VERY valuable service...

    You have to get to the Final Print to get a clean copy.???? Print to pdf printer is safest.
