Recently I've had customers come back to me and ask about enhancements or slight customizations (UDF, Custom Office) that we may have made to their Sage system. I've decided that it's a good idea that all these tweaks and enhancements be documented somewhere. My first reaction is just to put them all in a folder on my Google Drive and keep a big Google Doc that describes the current system, etc Have you come up with any better way to do this? I know for me documenting what has been done in a customer site is usually after-the-fact and only as time permits (which it never seems to). I think the plain Google Doc is the way I'm going to go unless someone has a better way that they document their customer configurations.

We make notes in Infor, but like you, not as often or as well as we should. I also print the custom office reports and a UDF listing and take screenshots of any customized windows as part of my upgrade preparation. That's saved on the client's system and not ours, though.

I am thinking of offloading the key files to Google Drive - for example all modified forms, custom reports, exported VI jobs, exported panels. It's almost impossible to remember who has what mod and when did the developer need to tweak x to make y work and what was the reason again? I definitely need to do a much better job documenting.
