Recently completed an upgrade to Sage 100 2014 PU4 Premium edition. The application is installed on a dedicated server with the databases residing on a separate SQL server (SQl1). The IT manager has configured SQL database failover to another SQL server (SQL2). I have registered the MAS_User and MAS_Reports users on SQL2 but when we test failover the Sage 100 client doesn't launch fully and a message stating SQL Not Enabled appears. The client sota.ini file only references the dedicated application server with UNC path to server name\install path and port ID. Has anyone else tried to configure the Premium version with failover and been successful?

have you tried rerunning the Sage 100 Premium ERP 2014 SQL Settings Utility - and changing the server to the new SQL server and MAS_User and MAS_Reports via this utility? I would think you need to stop and stop the sage service - also in the home directory - checkout the MASSQL.settings file to make sure it is pointing correctly - the utility should have done it.

Yes I did run the SQL settings utility and point it to the other server but I didn't stop the service. That's a good suggestion and I will also check the MASSQL file. Thanks
