Received this from IIG - they are looking to hire Sage 100 implementation people. I think we briefly may have touched upon the question: Should we allow employment advertising by any of our members (consultant or vendor) within 90 Minds Socialcast, Web or Newsletter. I think we were somewhat opposed to it, i.e. we didn't want companies poaching others employees. On the other hand, if they're not happy where they are, that's another issue. What or how does it benefit the group to do so?

Definitely not. I don't think we should at all promote people taking each other's consultants. At that point, people will seriously be tempted to not let their staff join 90 minds out of fear of showing who's good and a good hiring target.

If I were a company paying for x consultants to be in the group i would not want to have my employees exposed to job ads -- however that doesn't preclude the employee from making contacts at MOTM or any other event. My view - safest to tell people (consultant or vendor) that the only place we promote jobs is in our LinkedIn group in the jobs section - which is the natural place for anyone looking for a job to be looking at.

We had said before no to job ad listings.

I agree No Job Ads on items that we in control of.

This is old news but I'm puzzled that my comment seems to be gone from this thread. Maybe I had a senior moment ... Either way, I also agree it would be very bad precedent and create problems down the road.

I have had a couple times when I left comments in other messages thinking that I pushed enter and somehow moved off the message only to find my comment disappeared. Not sure if somehow the clicking of the comment (blue) button sometimes does not take.

I'm pretty sure it's happened before. Usually from my iPad. I'll keep an eye on it going forward. It also could be my memory is defective.
