Really odd experience on MAS90 4.5.0.2 -- maybe this is a WAD. I had previously migrated a test company from 4.30 to 4.5.0.2. Went back to bring over two more companies (migrate) that I decided I want to migrate. My initial test company that I'd migrated to 4.50 appears to have been wiped out on 4.50 during this second migration - and I was left with only the two companies from my second migration. When prompted initially with the question ""do you want to migrate companies that already exist"" I said ""NO"". And I just picked the two companies that I wanted to migrate in addition to the one already migrated -- thinking that the other two would join the already migrated company in 4.5.0.2 (making a total of 3 companies). The second time through when prompted with ""do you want to migrate companies that already exist"" I said ""YES"" and I was able to remigrate JUST the one test company and my other two companies remained in place. I could swear in the past when I've done migrations and then had to do additional companies that it did not wipe out any companies already migrated and on the 4.5.x MAS system. Just an FYI --

@WayneSchulz - was the data actually removed, or just the record from the companies file?

    Unfortunately I didn't check.

Had something like that and it was only the record in the Company file. Whew.

I also didn't explore this but it seems like: - On the initial install I was able to migrate the data files without the 4.3 admin password (or with an incorrect one) - When the migration happened (with system files) the admin password on 4.5 seems like it was overwritten with whatever was in 4.3 - Cannot rule out that someone at the customer changed admin but I don't think so. Seems more likely that the migration overwrote it -- while not validating the pasword on the 4.3 FYI

It sounds like you migrated the system files on the second pass.

I did - just can't remember them overwriting company files in the past but I just might not have noticed previously.

It updates the company file so that it shows only the companies you've just converted. You could recreate the company code and click activate and cancel and your modules are back.

Works as DESIGNED, not as DESIRED! I have never been able to figure out a way to prevent the company codes from being wiped out on existing companies when migrating a second time. For a while, I would rename the MAS_XXX folder and just remigrate those companies a second time, then delete the newly created MAS folder and rename the original folder. Then I started doing what Rober suggests.

I believe @RobertWood is correct. Since you ran the system files again it blows away the settings you previously had. Just like it would remove any users you created.
