Does anyone know for a fact whether Sage 100 data is accessible via ODBC if it goes into Read-only mode?  If so, what version(s)?

Brett - I had a customer who had let their payroll expire and I was able to use both ODBC and VI on payroll. I think this could have changed with respect to VI but it looks like ODBC to read data should work based on this - https://us-kb.sage.com/portal/app/portlets/results/viewsolution.jsp?solutionid=220924660107870&page=1&position=2&q=read-only%20mode

I'm curious about encrypted PII data, which you can't query using ODBC...

If you can run a standard report on encrypted PR data once it's gone read-only, a BOI script can load the work table with the fields unencrypted such that an Excel query or Crystal report could pull them.

Interesting!  I'm rather surprised that BOI would work on a read-only system.

That really is surprising, especially since it allows you to write data to tables.
