Brett - I had a customer who had let their payroll expire and I was able to use both ODBC and VI on payroll. I'm curious about encrypted PII data, which you can't query using ODBC...

If you can run a standard report on encrypted PR data once it's gone read-only, a BOI script can load the work table with the fields unencrypted such that an Excel query or Crystal report could pull them.

Interesting!  I'm rather surprised that BOI would work on a read-only system.
