Yeah, I stayed at a Hilton Suites in Lexington KY right after Christmas. Paid same rate per night and Internet access in the room was $9.95 unless you are at the Silver or Gold level Hilton Honors. Then it's free.

Silver doesn't even count at this one (my level). Poop. Guess I'll be finding a Starbucks.

I booked a room, but then noticed that it's cheaper to rent a house and car instead. 2-3 bedroom homes are approx. $100/night, including WIFI, and within 8 miles (20 minutes) of the hotel.

I think the group rate included ""free"" wifi -- though I tend to tether off my iPhone or Samsung as the Verizon LTE can be much faster.

I checked the Rate Details of the Group Rate and it still listed the WIFI as extra. They might have been lying, but that's how they had it listed. I checked before I cancelled.
