  • 1.  RDS Sizing / Azure experiences

    Client has a 35 user Sage100 advanced 2017 system, doing drop-ship distribution.

    For their 2020 upgrade, they are planning to go to Azure, with a dedicated application server and an RDS server(s).

    Their network company has asked for "how much memory in the RDS for each Sage100 user" - does anyone have any thoughts on this ?

    Plus, any experiences either good or bad with Azure.

    The network company is aware of the requirement that the servers be Windows Server "Standard" edition.

    I have a customer who went to Azure probably 5 years ago. Sage 100 Premium. They largely manage this themself so I might not hear of all issues. From what I can see it appears to work for them though also quite possible they spend internal time configuring or debugging and I wouldn't be aware.

    I believe they are about 25 users. Also, using Accellos for WMS.
