RDP connections to WIN 7 64 OS workstations - How do you stop the redirected printers from appearing on the TS workstation. These redirects are screwing up my paperless updates.

Some Win 7 64 OS workstations have been fine and others we have had to get the right CDINTF.DLL in place. Res id 519025 shows sizes. We usually have redirected printer issues when running MAS 90 on a terminal server. A lot of our clients use RDP and every time more than one copy of a redirected printer shows up on a Terminal Server, we have issues. If possible, we turn off printer sharing in the TS client. In general, we try to put a queue on the server for every network printer at the various locations. TS Clients are only allowed to share a printer if it is connected directly to their computer and is not shared. We discourage local printers being shared, except to a server.

I have done the same thing as John, not sharing printers on the TS. I try to get the client to make all printers network rather than local, especially for forms! (I hope PU6 works)

Concur exactly with John and Clark.

Thanks for the tip. Stopping the printer sharing solved my issue.

A number of support articles mention non-functional printer definitions will cause problems. We have found that to be true. Deleting dead printers has often solved printing issues.
