Rapid entry for punch in/punch out seems to be missing in the new Time Track module. There is a Punch In Punch Out window but I don't see a setting to display the information for a period of time (say 5 seconds) and then accept the entry like in the old version. I was able to program the scanner on our test system to pause for 5 seconds and send an additional enter and accept the entry. That worked until someone had missed a day and it pops up a window that says ""an absent record was created for X date"" and then the additional enter closed that window and left the punch in sitting there. We have several clients using Rapid Entry and there is not a keyboard, mouse or touch screen for user interaction and I'm starting to fear we will need one with Payroll 2.X. Am I missing something??

I was able to work around this by: -Programming the scanner to send a carriage return, pause and two additional carriage returns after a scan -Customizing the punch in/punch out window to remove the help button from the tab sequence I had to do the second carriage return to deal with a pop up window showing that an absent record was created in some cases. Removed the help button from the tab sequence so the additional carriage return on an entry without an absent record wouldn't take the cursor to the help button. I'll post more updates if we run across additional issues when this goes into production in a few weeks. I can hardly wait......

But this is a great feature for all. I hate it when they take away usefulness!! Time to let Linda and Diane that we want this back.
