    Rant alert !! Sage has become an absolute joke of a company. Long story short, Customer renewed to 100c, they were told they do not need to renew Payroll subscription at this time, new keys killed the Payroll. Called the account manager that processed the renewal, she is out for two days and no one else can fix it, a day later got someone to help, I have to fill out all the forms and communicate between Sage and customer, Sage refuses to communicate with customer even though all payments must go directly to Sage. A whole day wasted and customer still unable to process Payroll. I will sell Excel for Accountants before I sell another Sage....there, I feel better now.

    Did you bring the RSM in on this issue? Or Rob Larsh or Jeff Scott. I know there is little that they can do, but might as well share the love(less) feelings. Might even be time to just start CC all this crap to Connie as well. Someone needs to be held accountable for piss poor planning and customer disservice.

    Yes Jeff, I did. He is the one that told me to wait till Monday until the account rep comes back. Only after I yelled and told him the customer needs to do Payroll did he assign someone else to it. BTW, they are still trying to figure it out and customer is still not able to do Payroll.

    I feel your pain Kenny, although it does not affect a PR end user. It took me the entire month of September to get a customer upgraded to 100c - at about 3pm last Friday. She faxed all the forms, etc. and on Saturday, I get a notification that they have renewed their M&S as REGULAR, not 100c. Rob Larsh, Jim Tibbs, Laura Hayes, the entire team was in on this. Laura is the one I spoke with on Wednesday who is fairly new to Sage (about 7 mos.) and cannot believe they have NO processes in place. It's a sad, sad world.....

    Jim Tibbs (Sales Manager) said, can they wait till Monday? All I could was Really??? Ask 200 employees to wait till Monday? Then he says, and how long have they known about the renewal. Only since one of your people told them they don't need it. Honestly, I don't think anything will change until we, as a group, change. We keep complaining but we keep sending sales and renewals their way. I don't know many businesses that I would keep going back to when I've been treated so badly time after time.

    Wow, I missed all of this in the last hour because I'm working on a complex incorrect average cost issue? I would rather participate in the rant! Based on the disappointing sales in the West, how do we know the account manager is actually coming back on Monday?

    Back before I saw the light and now only buy German cars, I took my Chevrolet back time after time and it never got fixed. Is that the same thing?

    Let's all convert our customers to Sage Live. Then when we have problems, we can complain directly to Mr. Kelly because it was his idea.

    Unfortunately, Mr. Kelly like all those before him that excelled at blowing smoke up people's tail pipes will also one day cut his losses and run like the wind the his millions made hollow promises. I wonder how large HIS hands are????

    If the software was half decent and continually being improved, I'd say it's worth the pain we are going through. But for every new feature we get, others (i.e. QB) gets 10. Heck, I'm Still struggling to get a decent report output to Excel when every user out there is begging for it.

    The photo on the promotions is of ferns in the background. They should have used pot plants and then we would know why the software and support are they way they are.

    Yikes, quite the incentives. Did I only get half the e-mail? $1,000 tier credit for enticing customers to nibble on the Garden of Eden ""c"" apple. 0% financing if you buy some type of perpetual license/module. What happened to the ""Wait, there is more"" promotions??? Is this the new ""c"" - Crappy sales support, Crappy technical support, Crappy Sage products?

    Update: Day 2 and customer is still without payroll. The assistant to the Account Rep stepped in to help. I had to re-send all the signed forms because she has no access to previously emailed forms. Heard nothing so I called...assistant had to leave and the assistant to the assistant is working on it. Heard nothing back so I called again...Sage is closed for the weekend. Morons

    @JaneCavanaugh Even if it is not listed, you can always tell the RSM that this should qualify for the ""in the family "" discount. They will usually give in.

    @KennyDaniel have you tried to renter the old keys? This happened to me and the old keys did give them temporary access.
