Please don't take this as me piling on, that is not my intention. Wayne is spot on with his point, and I will go so far to state that some of our feedback was dismissed as if we hadn't taken the time to truly evaluate AR Automation. I literally zoned out after the third person tried to explain the reason why partners were not promoting AR Automation.
On the positive side, and this is like a huge win for 90 Minds, we have serious interest from Sage to collaborate on Sage 100 through Mike Ritchie's team. Mike listens and is genuinely interested in carrying the ball for us. He may get push back, or we may not get the result we want, but I know for absolutely certainty that Mike and his team will go to bat for 90 Minds. Again, to Wayne's point, we need these people at MOTM to carry our water with Sage.

And just to follow up on this - I actually asked that question directly. Maybe it's not considered a "pressing" issue to raise with Sage, but it keeps coming up with my clients who miss having a conference where they can learn and connect with ISVs in one place.
I probably asked four different Sage people, and every single one gave me the same answer: a shrug and an "I know." They clearly understood the frustration but had no idea whether a Sage 100 track would exist again - or why it disappeared.
So here's the point.
If Sage is going to show up for 90 Minds, let's make sure it's with the right people. The ones who can actually speak to the realities we deal with every day - not just deliver whatever the corporate talking point of the year happens to be.
I'll be blunt but fair: it often feels like Sage sponsors the event, writes a big check, and then sends whoever's available to talk about whatever they're told to push. And too often, when we ask real questions, we hear "that's not my area."
The low point for me was hearing a speaker seem genuinely unaware of why so few partners promote AR Automation - as if adoption issues were some unsolvable mystery rather than a reflection of how that product actually performs in practice.
If 90 Minds is serious about making the next conference valuable, then let's make sure Sage brings people who can answer questions, not just read from the script.

Let's get specific - what would make your work easier, your clients more supported, or your business stronger heading into MOTM? Thanks!
Several of my clients have asked about a Sage conference with Sage 100 content.
Question to Sage:
Will there be a conference in the future with Sage 100 content relevant to existing Sage 100 customers and if so when and where will that be held. Will an agenda be available prior to the registration date so that our mutual customer can make an informed decision about attending?

Wayne - thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate you taking the time to share it. You've raised great points about keeping sessions practical and relevant to the real work our members are doing every day - upgrades, add-ons, reporting, client retention, and all the pieces that make running a consulting practice sustainable.
I also love the idea of quieter spaces for real conversations. The good news is, it was already part of the plan, and we'll absolutely have that. The Loews Coronado Bay property offers plenty of lounge areas and dedicated gathering spaces, we will have separate meals from evening events, so those who want to connect and "talk shop" without all the noise will have great options.
I'm also really excited about the topic suggestions - especially AI, which we're planning to include how to explore how it's being used by both developers and consultants in day-to-day workflows. Possibly a roundtable discussion?
All of these ideas will be shared with our Events and Education Committees as we finalize the 2026 agenda. Most of what's coming together looks like it will hit the mark for everyone.
But this post really is seeking one thing.....
What do we actually want or need from Sage right now?
Let's get specific - what would make your work easier, your clients more supported, or your business stronger heading into MOTM? Thanks!

My .02
I'd love a quiet spot during social events where consultants and ISVs can talk shop. I'm not there for the concert, disco moves, or open bar - maybe we need a separate room for the old farts.
Skip the "be your best self" keynote. YouTube's full of them. This is not just an observations about this conference - in general I think money can better spent elsewhere ( anyone remember anything about the speaker at the last five conferences you attended? - I remember exactly one and it was at ITA and they had the guy who tracked down spy Robert Hanssen and it had zero to do with my practice and his speech was almost entirely available via YouTube)
For Sage 100 tech: Focus on what 90% of us do: upgrades, add-ons, and reporting. Crystal, Sage Intelligence, and proven alternatives. Selling new Sage 100 deals sounds great, but the publisher's moved on. Let's talk honestly about where Sage 100 fits today. Most attrition now comes when a client's acquired or retires - and once that happens, Sage 100's gone within 6–18 months. There ain't no amount of "well, Wayne, you have to go sit down with the new private equity owners and demonstrate how powerful Sage 100 could be" that's working for me...
A session on switching payment processors without turning it into a six-month ordeal would be great - if that's even possible.
A practical summary on "Which Sage 100 clients should consider Intacct" would help. If it's another Intacct is all things to all people commercial, I'm out.
The Sage exec presentation could use a refresh. After several years of the same message, does anyone not know Sage is all-in on Intacct? I'm pretty up-to-date on the acquisitions of add-ons that Sage have made and also a realist in recognizing that most of them aren't coming to Sage 100 anytime soon ( if ever).
I'd love to hear how others track support stuff like tickets and knowledge - how you find that question a client asked from seven months ago in 30 seconds - and how you run client check-ins that actually build relationships.
Also curious how others use AI. I use it daily - summarizing work, drafting client emails, creating setup instructions. It's not flashy but saves hours. Maybe split AI topics: "For Developers" and "For the Rest of Us."
Would like to hear how others have reworked support agreements. I'm all fixed-price - "unlimited support" is table stakes now. Offering an upgrade is a great idea - if the upgrades weren't complex due to integrations. Maybe it's time to market our value better.
Lastly, maybe 90 Minds tackles a group project - surveys or client insight reports we could all use. And maybe we need to talk about the elephant in the room: AI's going to replace a lot of our forum-style Q&A. What's our niche when that happens? What can 90 Minds do that AI can't?
- The end
