Quality Documentation for Auditors

    A client emailed me with the following request:

    "... (an employee) reached out to me requesting "validation" information for SAGE as a program. Basically, from a quality perspective we are relying on SAGE for some of our processes and our quality auditors are requesting documentation from SAGE that demonstrates the software was tested. Do you know if they have any documentation available to that effect?"

    Does Sage have any documentation that would satisfy this auditor's request? Has anyone ever received a request like this? What did you provide for them?

    My experience with these auditor requests is that they're generally overly broad and often can be satisfied through alternate explanation.

    I'd approach it as: 

    a. There are over 24,600 users - https://s-consult.com/2018/02/22/how-many-sage-100-users/#:~:text=According%20to%20this%202018%20external,of%2030%2C000%2B%20Sage%20100%20customers.

    b. The company s/b reconciling monthly which would serve as an alternate means of verifying accuracy
    - Bank Reconciliation
    - Agree aging reports to GL
    - Agree financial statements for reasonableness
    - Tie out balance sheet to supporting detail ( ie fixed assets, loans, etc)

    @Wayne Schulz, overly vague is what this request seems to be. I am sure Sage does not document or make public their QA Procedures​, but I think that is what they are asking for. I am being told third hand, the auditor talked to the Division President who talked with my contact who talked to me, so not sure I am getting precisely what they are asking for.@Kevin Moyes

    Look in Sage Partner Hub - there is a document on how Sage meets some CFR requirement which seems to discuss some of these items.
