Q4-2013 Tax Table Update (TTU) It's my understanding the Q4-2013 TTU will be available for 4.40+. What are the opinions/likelihood it'll still work no problem for 4.30 - and same for the year-end IRD?

Unless they specifically put in code to disable it, I would think you could get by. But don't put all your money on that horse.......

Thanks, @JeffSchwenk. Any chance you know the horse to talk to about that, in an effort to get positive confirmation?

Don't those install routines typically test for versions? I'm pretty sure that they test on the payroll tax updates.

@WayneSchulz, I thought I remember when 4.20 was retired, that the TTU still installed/worked - but I can't remember for sure. Unless that was something with the 941 that I'm thinking of.

@AlnoorCassim is an excellent source of behind the scenes activity.

Is Sage supposed to release a Q4 2013 TTU? Why would they release it now with less than 2 months left in the 4th Qtr? Has there been significant tax changes I missed?

I still have a quite a few on 4.30 and no way can I take them up before year end. I will try it on my software as I have several different installations. Does anyone know when it will be released?

I guess technically the next TTU to be released (for year-end) is Q1-2014, and typically it becomes available around mid-Dec.

Does anyone recall installing on 4.30, any of the previous TTU's that were released after 12-31-12 (which is when Sage technically stopped providing TTU's for 4.30)? If those are able to be installed on 4.30, I'd expect the upcoming Q1-2014 will also be able to be installed on 4.30 - although obviously there's no guarantee.

December 20, 2013 is the anticipated date for ttu and IRD

Has anyone seen any published documentation about changes the year end IRD will be making to PR, if any? We are trying to help our few customers, still on 4.3, establish the real risks by not upgrading. Besides tax tables, which can be updated manually, what will break if they stay on 4.3?

I've seen Sage say there will be an IRD but have not seen the details of what will be in it. You'd think Sage would get out ahead of this and want to proactively publish the changes so that we could encourage upgrades and/or winbacks.

It's probably out there somewhere on one of the various portals, though it might be in French under Sage 50...
