Putting yesterday in perspective a bit ... the one thing that really burns me is that they continue to treat us with disrespect. Instead of just coming out straight and saying ""We feel we need to start taking sales and customers direct because the vast majority of the channel doesn't market and sell enough. Here's what we are doing to ease into this transition."" Right or wrong, believe that message or not, that's what they believe. They don't have the balls nor fortitude to say it so they are acting like a bunch of fucking weasels to slowly backdoor us out of the building. They should be ashamed. I had a one-on-one with Joe Langner after the call yesterday. He couldn't even look me in the eye to answer the questions. Contrast that to my impressions of Dan Wilzoch. http://summitdiary.com/2012/03/02/wilzoch-leads-sage-crm-group-on-roadshow/

@PeterWolf I had the same type of conversation at ITA with Joe -- basically they pulled me aside to ""say hi"" and the guy was just scanning the room. I was then told others were waiting to kiss his ring. Didn't talk to another Sage person the entire time at ITA. However I get that they need to turn this ship and turn it quickly. The flip side is if North America continues to show zero or negative growth Sage UK will likely sell it. So while not thrilling - we definitely need to live with the changes to show growth in NA -- and taking money out of partner pay is a LOT easier and quicker ROI than developing new software features.
