  • 1.  Purchase Order Type change

    Customer would like to reclassify ALL Drop Ship Purchase Orders as Standard Orders.
    Can I just change the field value thru DFDM and rebuild sort files????
    Is there anything else I would be missing that would affect them????

    Not the expert.  I would change one, rebuild then see what effect it had.  I thought each line had a DS field but I must have crossed my PO wiring with my SO wiring.  Hope you don't have a lot to change.

    It seems logical that what you describe should work, I would not change the order type if anything was partially invoiced on those Purchase orders.  Also be sure to change the field in PO_PurchaseOrderHistoryHeader table. I would also recommend changing one or two in a test company first. Rebuild sort files as you mentioned; that will recalculate the "on PO" in inventory. Then I would do a receipt of Goods transaction and Receipt of invoice transaction against them and update these transactions to make sure they update properly.
