I have a client that wants to have different tax rates per line on Purchase Orders.

e.g.  They order 1 line that is a food item, taxed at 3%.  The next line is not a food item, taxed at 7%.

Is there anyway to accomplish this w/o creating a purchase order for each different tax rate?

That is what Tax Class is for.  Each line has a Tax Class, and different rates can be applied to the Tax Classes through the Tax Code settings.

How the heck did I not know this after all these years?  I guess I never really had a client that made different tax rates on different items being sold (or purchased) on one order a requirement.
