  • 1.  Publisher could not be verified?

    Posted 12-09-2024 14:22

I have a client who is still on Sage 100 2022  standard and has been running just fine with Windows 11..  Something happened over the weekend and now starting up  or clicking on any menu item they get the a windows message that the publisher could not be verified.  It doesn't keep them from running Sage 100, but it is a bit annoying.

Knowledgebase suggests adjusting the shortcut to run as administrator should fix it.  No such luck.

I noticed that looking at the properties for the shortcut there now seems to be an extra tab called "digital signature" on the workstation and there is no information in there.   the server does not have this tab, and I don't see any such thing on my own computers.  I'm assuming this is where the problem lies but I have no idea why this tab is showing up on this computer.

    Thoughts?

I still run into those occasionally, although haven't had one start up out of the blue.  I've used the Internet Options/Security tab Local Intranet setup to clear the issue.

That was my first thought as well, but it seems to have correct settings there.

Tom I've seen this quite a bit and more so in the past with Standard installations well before the Windows 11 drama. What Beth said is what I do as well:

    1. Control Panel / Internet Options / Local Intranet / Sites
    2. Click on Advanced
    3. Uncheck the box for "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone"
    4. Where it says "Add this website to the zone" copy/paste the UNC path to \Mas90. It will change it to: "file://ServerName"
    5. Click Close then OK then OK to close out of Internet Options
    6. You may need to close and restart Sage 100 but probably not.
