Sage 100

Client looking for a multi-bin solution.  What are the difference between Scanco vs. Scanforce/DSD MB?  Price, functionality, usability and limiting growth paths are concerns.

Is there a feature sheet with these difference?

My concern is that if the customer is ever going with Sage Operations Management, they are usually a Scanco. 
Reason: I don't believe the DSD/SF MB plays well or at all with Scanco products (and vice versa).

If MFG is not on the radar, it's a coin flip.

I surveyed the group about the SF vs. SCANCO many years ago for a customer who asked a similar question ( except MB at the time wasn't a factor ).

The results, as I recall, were split mainly down the middle as to which product consultants recommended and the positives/negatives that consultants provided.
The survey got ME out of being perceived as "telling us (the customer) to buy xyz which we now hate"....

Thanks.  Is it still the case that Scanco will "give" you MB?  Looking for the hidden costs of either package.

I don't know about Scanco. I think SF does provide MB Basic (probably also part of a customer's subscription) but you pay extra for MB Advanced. In almost all cases, I find my SF users are adding to whatever they initially purchase. I usually tell people looking to expect to budget a little more for extras that they discover you need, such as more scanners, etc.

I've had no complaints from customers about these extra costs, which surprised me initially. I think, ultimately WMS becomes so strategic that customers are willing to continue to invest once they've implemented it.

If your client is going to use Operations Management (JobOps); then Scanco is the way to go.

If your client is going to use Production Management (Work Order replacement); and Sage's version (v2022 +); I suggest ScanForce.

Both offer the "basic" product for free.  Many times they need a feature not in Basic and need to move up the chain.  Like with Scanco you need MB Premium for OM usage.  

Scanco offers support, but charges for server moves.  ScanForce is all in training and support and server moves for the Maintenance Charges.  I'd chat with the representatives of both to decide what is better for your particular client.  We have a good number of clients using one or the other; depending on their business.

Does anyone have any type of feature sheet for the Sage/DSD/Scanforce basic MB?  Client is distribution oriented so OM/PM is not a concern.  I have a client using Scanco MB.  They are on 2021 and for the past two years there has been an issue with MB and Starship unrelenting finger pointing.  If only they would spend half the effort fixing it.  So I want to explore something different.  TIA

I have ScanForce Basic vs Advanced.  If you can find one of these from Scanco, that may answer your questions.  I could not find one from Scanco, and believed it "used to be" just on the screen in a screen shot.  But I can't find that information now.
