Promotion Announcement of Ryan Rick as the JobOps General Manager Chuck Wunderlich sent an e-mail to all JobOps Solution Providers, the promotion effective today. ""In addition to his current channel sales responsibilities, Ryan will also be responsible for the day to day operations of the entire JobOps Team including Development, QA, Support, Administrative and Sales."" This can only be positive for Synergistic and the JobOps product. I feel the organization has been stagnant for the last three to five years, and I believe Ryan has the enthusiasm and vision to do great things. Not specifically included in the announcement, but evident, is Chuck will no longer be involved.

In all due respect to Chuck, Ryan has always been the go to guy to get anything done.

This is good news for all. I am curious to know how Ryan engineered it.

I'd like to think it was my encouragement, but this was all Ryan's doing. For all of us who know Ryan, everything he does is above board. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't just meet with Chuck and recommend this.

Ryan is definitely a good guy, straight shooter. I was thinking more along the lines of what it took to get Chuck to agree to get out of the way.

Chuck's primary interest has been the BDO alliance and he's close to retirement age, so I imagine it looked more like a graceful exit to him.

BDO has accounting alliances, which are smaller CPA firms that are connected to their offices - much the same as some of the large assocations like PKF that we belong to. They also have the BDO Technology Alliance, which consists of technology firms that BDO and their alliance firms are encouraged to use. For instance, there may be a Microsoft software reseller in Southern California that is the designated alliance partner for that software.
